You need to enable the Algo-trading before attaching the Robot to the chart. There two “algotrading” options:
- Tools -> Options -> “Expert Advisors” tab. “Enable algorithmic trading” checkbox.
- There is an “Algo Trading” button int the middle of the MetaTrader’s toolbar. It must be on before attaching the robot.
Another possibility is the broker to suspend trading due to swap calculations. It usually happens around midnight for several minutes.

I will forward this to our development team to see if possible additions can be implemented. We already have on our road map to add different account sizes and currencies so this will be implemented in the future.
Marin StoyanovKeymasterHi, the FTMO Robot is designed to trade on USD challenges and using a challenge with a different currency affects the protections, that’s why your robot is being removed. The first release of FTMO Robot v6.0 was optimized to work best on FTMO. However, it appeared some brokers have specific Order Filling Mode settings. So that we updated the MQL code of the FTMO Robot accordingly. Please download the robots again and replace your working versions.

Here’s What’s New:
- Enhanced Maximum Daily Loss (Currency): This familiar feature now comes with an added functionality – it resets at a specific hour every day, giving you more control over your daily trading limits.
- Maximum Daily Drawdown %: We’ve introduced an equity drawdown protection that monitors and limits your daily drawdown in percentage terms, helping to better manage risk.
- Daily Reset Hour (Terminal): This new input allows you to set the exact time when the Daily Loss and Drawdown protections reset, aligning them with your trading strategy and schedule.
- Maximum Equity Drawdown %: To further secure your investment, we’ve implemented a feature that limits the maximum equity drawdown, reducing potential losses from unforeseen market movements.
Important: When any of these protection mechanisms is activated, the Robot will close all current positions and turn off automatically. This is to ensure your trading stays within the boundaries of your defined risk parameters.
Please visit the FTMO Robot App to update your Robot with these new features. It’s crucial to stay updated for optimal performance and enhanced protection.
