Hello Andi,
what you say is so interesting to me! I never did filter the EAs on the smaller time frames but it makes a lot of sense.
I saw a few times when trading on M15 and I have the entry signal, that the price goes in the opposite direction on M1 and M5. I did not know it is even possible to filter them using lower time frame filters. Thanks for sharing your experience.
HaliffaParticipantAnd yes, good we have Petko! He changes my trading it total. First I realized from the Forum that I was scammed last year, then I learned how to trade by myself and not to depend on anyone, and now he keeps improving my trading with all updates and new courses.
HaliffaParticipantI stay with 20% OOS, I am not sure if there is a huge difference between 20% and 30%…maybe if the data is smaller it is good to use 20%. Anyway, we would have too small data to generate the EAs.
HaliffaParticipantHello Jacpin, I am happy to hear you are doing well. I missed you in the Forum. 🙂
Yes, I do spend a lot of time generating and testing EAs but I guess that is the only way. And yes, Petko is making it better and better.
For me the most important is that we are profitable, we know what we need to do (even there is always something new to add) and we trade without emotions…I really really enjoy trading with the EAs, watching Petko’s courses and free videos and just progress…
HaliffaParticipantLovely course, Petko! Thanks for sharing your EAs!
HaliffaParticipantHello Petko,
Hope you are doing well! I did not notice that educational small cap. I think it will be great to have more information about each feature.
I will be looking for videos from you!
HaliffaParticipantWhen I was scammed I had the call from London, then I found out that it was actually from somewhere in Eastern Europe. But I couldn’t do anything about it.
HaliffaParticipantHey Ossaio, if others have the issue from the broker, they really might have this team as Petko says, who are trying to make the profitable traders losers. I saw hat Petko uses JFD in his courses and so far I have no problems with them. As well, I tested Pepperstone and they were fine.
Anyway, I am sure that the broker could behave differently with the different clients. Keep that in mind.
HaliffaParticipantHey Fsgi,
The thing is that everyone has a different approach on how to manage the portfolio accounts. And I am sure that it is not only me who change it all the time. Nearly at the end of everymonth, I change the acceptance criteria, the rules I follow the keep the EAs on live and to remove from there and so on…
Placing EAs in one account and keep trading only with them for a few months would be more accurate, but this is exactly what I learned from Petko Aleksandrov – we need to keep switching the EAs and to keep trading with the profitable EAs.
HaliffaParticipantHello Fsgi,
does Petko say that there should be a reverse? I have watched that course a couple of times and I remember as well that this strategy is without a reverse.
HaliffaParticipantHey Petko! You deserve it! All your efforts bring value and make us profitable traders..so yes, you deserve it!
HaliffaParticipantI have missed that it is important to have acceptance criteria in the In Sample and the Out of Samle parts. Just now I realized that when the complete backtest is set, it is for all the period, but I saw now that is not…ahh..thanks Petko!
HaliffaParticipantHey Petko,
you are right, and I am sure that many people understand that. The problem is that most of us realize that after making mistakes. 🙂
HaliffaParticipantI never had such an issue since I am trading with regulated brokers. I shared before I was scammed, but that was a totally different thing.
I guess trading with EAs and the broker messing up is kind of scammy actions too.
HaliffaParticipantHello Jacpin, you are right! If we go too cautious, we better stop trading Forex. 🙂
But as Petko says, we should be confident and not brave in trading.
