Hey Michael,
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
All seems good to me, and here are a few tips:
2. You don;t need to import data to EA Studio – it’s data is briliant, just make it work for your broker by changing the symbol settings.
9. You don’t really need to do it for all timeframes. You will see that there are a few that works best.
Also, at the end you can recalcualte the EAs without using the last one month of data. So do all of than without the last month (you can check it from Data Horizon) and then uncheck it which will be a good forward testing.
Cheers,
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterI will need to answer here to clarify it! 🙂
As far I understand you got ‘angry’ because we do not publish the trial/testing account with the FTMO Robots so everyone can see which is the top performer.
To do this, it should be on myfxbook, with all green checks and Live updates (which is easy to do).
BUT if we do this it will become a signal provider – a FREE Signal provider. It will be easy for everyone to copy the trades. Which is something we want to avoid.
Plus, it is super easy for everyone to open a trial account with FTMO and place the 8 EAs and track the performance. It’s nothing hard, and everyone can do it.
And I don’t think you saw fake promises with us because we never said that we would provide the weekly performers. You can not find in the landing page of the FTMO Robot, and it has never been in there.
So I hope you understand why we can’t do publicly BUT we will try to figure it out how to make it private for everyone who purchases the FTMO Robot. Then even if one uses it for signals, that is alright. We will let you know.
But don’t be angry, because we never promised that! 🙂
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey Nicholas,
I don’t really depend on the time period as one or two weeks. Sometimes, there will be more or less trades opened.
But two weeks is enough to check the recent top performers. Then you need to keep in the challenge only the top performers.
Regarding the risk. The set files are for the testing account and if you trade the EAs individually.
If you decide to put more than 1 EA on a challenge, you better lower the risk.
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterYour results show that AUDCHF made the most profit but only with 1 trade. So you might want to give it a bit more time.
Also, the AUDUSD performed well with 4 trades.
Remember that these EAs are based on non-martingale systems, so there will always be stagnation periods.
As I’ve mentioned in another thread, if the EAs are in a losing phase, I don’t put anything on the challenges but wait for the next profitable run.
Cheers,
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey Nicholas,
Glad to hear from you.
There is no written rule here. I share in the videos how I do it, but it is up to everyone how long period one will use.
If you are comfortable with 2 weeks, than use 2 weeks.
If there are no trades, just wait until there are enough trades. Also, there will be times when all of the assets will lose, and in these times I Do not put any of the EAs on a challenge. I just wait for the next profitable run.
After the trial expires, you can keep the account. They won’t usually disable the trading.
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterFrom the stats you show I see that AUDCHF did the the best.
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey Nicholas,
I think in the videos you watch I answered straight to your question “how long do I run the test before I can take the EA to my live account”:
I take the best performer from the last 1 week. So everyday if you check in Analysis the 1W time, you will see which EAs are the most profitable ones.
And recenly, I look at the last 3 days. So I aim at shorter period of time.
Cheers,
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey mate,
I can bet you it’s not from the Robot 🙂 It is from the Mac or the Broker. Which broker or Prop Firm did you use?
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey traders,
Initial Results with the New FTMO Robot V5.0: As always, I started by testing the New FTMO Robots on a Trial account first:
The performance is much better than the previous Version, 4.3. The EAs achieved 5% fully automatically. I did not select the Top EAs from the pack, but rather, on this trial, traded all 8 simultaneously.
However, I would still place only the Top Performers onto my Challenge platform!

Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHello Benedikt,
I am a bit confused about what you are saying… 🙂
If you feel that MT4 is better, than use MT4. I can’t understand what you mean about the SL and the TP.
The strategies are exactly the same for both versions.
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey Gary,
I just updated the course and posted in another topic in this Forum.
Cheers,
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHello Benedikt,
There is no error with the EAs for MT5. It works smoothly:
Today, we don’t have any trades yet, so that may be why you can’t see the EAs trading. But they will. Could you give it more time?
Cheers,
Petko AleksandrovKeymasterDear traders,
I uploaded all the EAs for November in the courses.
You will find them attached in the same lectures.
Make sure to backtest them or test on Demo first.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Petko AleksandrovKeymasterHey Dylan,
I keep it at the default value. Because if you increase it a lot, you will avoid a lot of the entries when there is no news.
