    Hello Jie,

you seem to be very consistent in your work which is great!

As far as I understand you are testing all months but you are looking at the performance for the current month in FX BLue, right?

And now you want to look at the results only for the last week?

Hey Roman, I keep at the default 20 tests and 80%. I am testing now the OOS function which I believe is a stronger robustness test for the strategies.

Hey man, Petko deserves it! What we are doing now he started it a long time ago 🙂

What do you mean by getting the numbers up per asset? Do you mean increasing the lots or getting better results?

Anyway here is what I use:

    Min count of trades 450

    Profit factor 1.2

    Max consecutive losses 7

    Backtesting quality 99%

After the video of Petko, I am planning to start using the OOS. It seems like really nice and useful. SImply, we do not use the whole period that we have but we use chosen % of Historical data. After that, we see the results that would have happened in the last months. And with the update int he acceptance criteria, we get only the good strategies.

    Hey Jacpin,

thank you so much for making it clearer. And this is based on the statistic in the live account, right?

So if one strategy gets better than another, you will switch the trading lot? For example, if the second best strategy take first place with best win/loss you will make it with 0.04, and the other one that was with 0.04 so far, you would make it 0.03. I hope I got it now 🙂

Make sure to press Ctrl+F5 from time to time. They launch many new updates, and it is good to refresh it by deleting the cache.

Jacpin, I did not understand what exactly you mean? How do you choose which EAs to set with 0.04?

    Regards,

I wish Petko makes a course only for risk management, I think it will be very useful.

I was speaking with a friend trader who used Strategy Quant or something like that. When he described what is in there, I understood that it is years behind EA Studio.

I think EA Studio will be number 1 automated trading software for many years. And they always improve it so maybe forever

    Hey Roman,

I know what you are talking about! 🙂

I burned one small account at the beginning after I saw some great EAs in the statistics. From this time, I listen to Petko in 100% 🙂

    Hello Ossaio,

What I know from Petko is that when you use too huge Historical data with FSB Pro, you will lower the daily profits. But keep us updated on how it goes.

    Hello Ossaio,

I will try to answer all the questions here about the FSB Pro, I am sure they will be useful for others too.

    1. I like to lock some trading conditions before running the generator. Every one of us has own trading logic, and it is good to develop it with the time.

    2. On M1 I use 350k bars. On M5 I use 150k bars. I do not think the stable strategy depends so much on the count of bars, but the robustness itself.

    3. I think the win rate above 70% is unrealistic. For me everything above 55 is fine. As acceptance criteria, I always use the profit factor and the stagnation.

    4. I take a strategy out of the real account when it makes more consecutive losses than on the backtest. For example, if the strategy has 6 consecutive losses on the backtest, and I see that the strategy made 7 on the live, I would remove it. This means that probably the strategy was overoptimized, or it is not suitable for the market anymore.

    Hello Jie,

When I took the FSB Pro the first time I was very frustrated too because it is complicated. I think that is why the EA Studio came up to make it easier and simple, but I still have better strategies from FSB Pro..keep in mind that I use it for over 2 years now. Actually now I took 3rd license so I can run it on 3 machines all the time.

Watch the lectures from Mr. Popov that are free, and watch them a few times. The details do matter there.

Also, if you have particular questions, I will answer them.
