The Data Horizon tool can assist you when you want to backtest data for a certain period.
Otherwise, the EA Studio runs a backtest over the entire historical data.
Options
Minimum data bars – the default setting here is 300 bars because some technical indicators require it in order to display their lines.
Maximum data bars – here you can use anything between 300 and 200 000 bars. According to the value that you choose, the EA Studio loads your data file and then filers the bars.
Use start date limit – here you need to set the start date of the backtest. Then make sure that there are at least 300 bars between the start date and the end date.
Use end date limit – this is where you select the end date of your backtest.
